Terms of Service
Last updated: August 15, 2026
Welcome to FindBiz! Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using our platform. They outline your rights and responsibilities as a user.
1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and FindBiz ("we", "us", or "our"), the operator of the FindBiz marketplace. By accessing or using our website, mobile applications, or services (collectively, the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Platform. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate, current, and complete. Businesses using the Platform must be legally authorized to operate and to offer their services or products.
3. Accounts & Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe compromise the security or integrity of the Platform.
You may not create multiple accounts for the purpose of evading platform rules, manipulating reviews, or circumventing plan restrictions.
4. Business Listings
Business owners may create listings describing their business, services, products, hours, and location. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of your listing content. All listings are subject to review by our moderation team and must comply with our listing guidelines.
We may remove, suspend, or reorder any listing at our discretion if it is inaccurate, misleading, prohibited, or otherwise violates these Terms.
5. Reviews & User Content
Users may submit reviews, ratings, and other content ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content, but grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute it on the Platform.
You agree that your User Content will not: (a) be false, misleading, or defamatory; (b) infringe the rights of any third party; (c) contain unlawful, obscene, or harassing material; or (d) be submitted for compensation, or by anyone with a conflict of interest, unless clearly disclosed.
We take review integrity seriously. Attempts to manipulate ratings or purchase fake reviews may result in account termination.
6. Payments & Subscriptions
Paid plans and transactions are processed through our secure payment provider (Stripe). By purchasing a plan, you agree to pay all fees in the currency displayed at checkout. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis until cancelled.
Prices are shown in Canadian dollars. Where applicable, federal and provincial taxes (GST, HST, QST or PST) are added at checkout based on the billing address you provide, and are shown before you confirm payment. Tax-exempt organisations may contact us to have their exemption applied.
Refunds: you may cancel at any time and cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. If you are a consumer in a province whose consumer protection legislation gives you a right of cancellation or refund beyond this, that right applies and is not affected by these Terms. If a plan fails to deliver a material feature you paid for, contact us within 30 days and we will refund the affected period.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Platform to: (a) violate any law or regulation; (b) harvest, scrape, or data-mine content without our prior written consent; (c) transmit malware, spam, or other harmful code; (d) interfere with or disrupt the Platform or its servers; (e) impersonate any person or entity; or (f) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform, other accounts, or connected systems.
8. Intellectual Property
The Platform, including its design, trademarks, logos, and original content, is owned by FindBiz and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of our materials without prior written permission.
You may use the Platform solely for its intended personal or business purposes as described in these Terms.
9. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Platform, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not endorse, guarantee, or warrant the quality, safety, or legality of any business, service, or product listed on the Platform. Transactions between users and businesses are conducted at the parties' own risk.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FindBiz shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from or relating to your use of the Platform.
Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Platform shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100).
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to the Platform, its users, or third parties.
You may stop using the Platform at any time and delete your account from your account settings. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — will survive.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, sitting in Toronto.
Nothing in this section removes any right you have under consumer protection legislation in your province or territory of residence, including the right to bring proceedings in your local courts where that legislation provides for it. If you are a consumer in Quebec, the Consumer Protection Act (Quebec) applies and prevails over any conflicting term.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology, or legal requirements. We will post the revised Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform or by email. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

If you have any questions about these Terms, contact us at support@findbiz.com or through our contact page, or write to FindBiz, 100 King Street West, Toronto, ON M5X 1A9, Canada. We're happy to help.
